Womandla Foundation is a dynamic, feminist-oriented non-profit organization led by girls and women, dedicated to empowering adolescent girls, women, and key populations in Zimbabwe and beyond. The foundation focuses on gender equality, economic empowerment, leadership, and social innovation.
Our mission is to improve the socio-economic well-being and quality of life for adolescent girls and women through education, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and advocacy, ultimately promoting gender equality and social transformation.

Our programs primarily serve adolescent girls, young women, and key populations in Zimbabwe, with a special focus on marginalized and vulnerable groups. We also support women and girls across Africa through HEARTS Alliance (insert link – https://x.com/HeartsA65240?s=09) a consortium of diverse organizations in southern africa.
We match mentors with mentees to provide guidance, encouragement, and support, helping young women set and achieve their educational and personal goals. Our mentorship journey is tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant.
Womandla Foundation has increased access to SRHR services, led initiatives to address HIV stigma and discrimination, reduction of VAW and ending of child marriage, empowered many girls and women through education, skills development, environmental justice and leadership training. We have increased access to secondary education, improved academic performance, and supported women in starting businesses and leading community initiatives.
Our funding comes from a mix of grants, international partnerships, local donations, and strategic investments. We focus on long-term, sustainable development rather than short-term fixes.

By 2034, we aim for marginalized adolescent girls to be organized and for women to have equal access to education, economic opportunities, and leadership positions, breaking the cycle of poverty and driving social change.
We provide safe spaces, comprehensive sexuality education, and advocacy to disrupt harmful narratives and practices, supporting girls and women to make informed decisions about their bodies and rights.
